Research on Peak Load Regulation Optimization Model Considering Interruptible Load at Peak Time

  • Abstract: As an important measure of demand response, the interruptible load can be equivalent to a virtual generator unit, which can relieve the demand of power supply in the peak period of the system and the frequent start-up and shutdown of the peak shaving unit. In order to consider the peaking resources on the power generation side and the demand side comprehensively, a peak shaving optimization model based on unit commitment model is established by considering ILH (interruptible load with high compensation) participating in reserve in this paper. The model is divided into two phases. The outer layer determines the peak time period in which the interruptible load can participate in system peak shaving by adjusting the amount of operating peaking unit. The inner layer considers the constraints such as the total interruption time, the number of interruptions, and the interruption amount for optimizing dispatch among multiple interruptible users during peak period. The results of calculation examples show that under the premise of ensuring the safe and stable operation of the system, the participation of ILH in the peak period of peak regulation can reduce the number of peaking units and reduce the system operating costs.
