Abstract:
Through the accident analysis of zinc oxide surge arresters on the 10kV side with no load of a 220kV transformer for several times, the direct cause of the accident is determined by the low selection of the rated voltage of the arrester, which results in overheating of the arrester in the event of transformer over voltage transmission, following the fever crash. The correct selection method of the rated voltage of the gapless arrester is discussed, and the feasibility of using a gapped zinc oxide arrester is proposed.
