Abstract:
By combing the compressed air piping design related codes and standards, analysis was made on air humility, Cl- and other impurity content in the compressed air piping both compressed side and expansion side. Seamless stainless steel pipe was recommended. A certain corrosion allowance should be considered on the pipe wall thickness. Based on the characteristics of CAES station, the principle on piping layout, hangers &supports design, insulation design and piping stress analysis was proposed. A codes compliance inspection and testing method instead of hydrostatic test or air pressure test was proposed based on the specific project site circumstance.
