Abstract:
As the analysis of coal bucker fire in fossil fired power plants, low pressure carbon dioxide inerting system is the most effective protection scheme. The amount of carbon dioxide agent should be calculated in accordance with the NFPA850 Standard, and 100% standby should be considered. The low pressure carbon dioxide system adopts two-tank arrangement could improve the reliability of the system. Carbon dioxide storage tanks should be layed in ground floor of the main building, close to the coal bucket and the passage.
