Abstract: This article first explores the suppression effect of surge capacitors on electrostatic induced overvoltage in transformers; Secondly, the suppression effect of surge capacitors on bus overvoltage waves is studied, and a calculation method for selecting surge capacitor parameters in SVG project is proposed and verified through simulation.
