Abstract: As the pressure release device of the tank circuit breaker, the explosion-proof membrane can protect the circuit breaker from causing damage to the body when an internal fault occurs. This paper analyzes the rupture of the explosion-proof membrane of a 3AP tank circuit breaker in a 500kV substation, and studies various factors that affect the performance of the explosion-proof membrane, analyzes the reasons for the malfunction of the explosion-proof membrane and the hidden dangers. The rectification process and installation process of the explosion-proof membrane are studied, and the operation and maintenance opinions of the explosion-proof membrane are put forward to ensure the reliable operation of the explosion-proof membrane in the power grid.
