Abstract: As the power system grows in size and complexity, the safety of transmission lines faces more and more challenges and risks. To improve the efficiency and quality of transmission line operation and maintenance, several grid companies at home and abroad have started to explore a new mode of using drones for intelligent inspection. This article introduces a scheme of fully autonomous inspection of transmission lines based on a mobile drone nest platform, analyzes its technical features, advantages and application effects, and looks forward to its future development direction.
